V.P. Gergel Prize for Young Scientists

Conference of Young Scientists and the V.P. Gergel Prize

A conference for young scientists will be held as part of the "Russian Supercomputer Days" conference. Participation is open to undergraduate and graduate students, and to young scientists aged 30 or younger (inclusive) at the time of the conference whose work has been approved by the program committee and accepted as a full or short article (co-authorship is permitted) within the scientific sections (the main track of the conference). Papers will be presented at the conference's youth sessions. Papers included in the conference program and presented at the youth sessions will be published in the conference proceedings and are recommended for journals on a standard basis.

All papers presented at the conference for young scientists are subject to a competitive selection process. The best papers will be awarded the Viktor Pavlovich Gergel Prize, named after a prominent Russian scientist and teacher, an innovator in parallel computing and supercomputer technologies, and one of the founders of this conference. Two Prizes will be awarded in 2026. The first Prize will be 30,000 rubles, and the second Prize will be 20,000 rubles.

To participate in the Young Scientists Conference and the competitive selection for the Prize, please send an application (letter) to info@RussianSCDays.org by September 1, 2026. Please include the following information:

The title of the paper and its EasyChair registration number;
The full name of the young scientist presenting the paper;
The participant's place of work/study and position;
A brief description of the participant's contribution to the presented work.
